I looked at make-up tutorials online to give me and idea about what kind of makeup we will use during filming to give our actors characteristics that will match the genre conventions.
We were thinking about maybe giving the intruder bruises on her body in places to show that she may have been sleeping uncomfortably. It will also effect the audience as they may wonder where the bruises are from and become uncomfortable as bruises aren't nice to look at. I took a look at this youtube tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Wgokk2ktyU it shows how to create a few different types of bruise to give old or newness.
I also looked at how to create scratches as this could also give a similar effect as the bruises on the viewer and make them uncomfortable or sympathetic to the character whilst questioning what she has been doing and if she may have been running away from someone. This tutorial shows a realistic and easy way to create scratches or cuts on the skin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgdpzgORzhU
I looked into contouring as Lewis already has quite angular facial features but it may look better if we shallow out his face more to make a more depressed and alcoholic look. This tutorial is quite good as its a natural look and doesn't involve too much foundation as we won't be using foundation because it will cover his imperfections that we don't want covered as we want him to look quite raw. We may even be able to achieve the tired look if we tweak the method. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjGoea8iRDM

Costume Sketches and ideas
https://www.pinterest.com/kaatjdaviees/media-costume/
We have made a pinterest board which i have pinned some images on the kind of looks we're going for with both characters. The male character will be wearing a casual flannel shirt normally with black jeans and socks or black chelsea boots, he may also be wearing a white shirt, black jeans and black chelsea boots for his work look.
The female character 'intruder' is going to be wearing a white night dress which is quite ghostly and fits well with the genre. The night gown could also connote mental unstableness as it could relate to patients at a mental health ward. The night gown may also look distressed to make the lady look like she's been wearing it for a while.

Cast List
Lewis Vosper - Man
Lewis is 18 years old, has long hair (normally tied in a bun, is slim, and around 6ft in height, his face is very structured with angular cheekbones and jawline. This could connote that now his character is not living with anyone, he is not caring for himself properly. Makeup is going to make him look tired and rugged, which will show conventions of the genre and also convey the messages in the plot. Lewis is going to be the main character and star vehicle of this trailer and film.
Camilla Sloan - Intruder
Camilla is 17 years old, had fairly short hair which just reaches her shoulders. Her face is not going to be seen as it is not necessary to the trailer, and connotes Propp's narrative theory that the villain or antagonist of a film is normally masked or hides their identity in order to create mystery and suspense. She is about 5ft6in in height and of average build. She will be dressed in a full length, night dress so her body will not really be seen either apart from her ankles, feet and arms which will be covered in make up in order to make her appear unwashed, unclean and unloved.

Locations List
The film is going to be set in a house which is going to be where all the filming is going to take place. The house is located in Bodmin. This is a suitable location for the filming to take place as the storyline and plot all takes place in a domestic, house setting.
The house looks almost too big for the person living in it as he is still very young but, the plot and voice over in the trailer explains that his family have died and now he lives seemingly alone..

Script
Script:
“I’m losing it, it’s one thing to know someone’s in your house, it’s another to think someone is in your house. Because when you think someone is in your house, no-one, in fact, may actually be in your house; you may just be seeing things. So i’m going to put up cameras to figure this out, one way or another. So I guess the question of the hour is, is someone actually in my house? If so, who? or what?”
