Poster: Critical Reflection Journal on shoot

I took the photos that you can see in the original photos blogpost all on the same day. I took them after we had done shooting on one of the shoots and took many different photos so I could have a wide collection to choose from so I didnt have to do multiple shoots as we were quite short of time and didnt have many opportunities to film/shoot together as we are all busy people. I got the shot I used for my poster near the end of the shoot and knew it was the one I wanted to use after I took it as I believe it is framed really well and shows the protagonist in the setting with the props used.

Poster: Original Images

This photo is good although the lighting and colouring would have needed to be edited in post production as the right of his face is too bright. The mise-en-scene in the background was also not very good.
This photo was too overexposed and the lens flare ruins it, I like the idea of the photo though as it shows the main character in the setting of the trailer and it shows how big and daunting the house really is to him.
This photo was okay but wasn't exactly in focus and is kind of blurry, the lighting also isn't very good and the mise-en-scene wouldn't work as there are flowers which connote femininity and cleanliness which aren't connotations we would like of our film.
I really like this photo and used it for my poster. I did however have to crop the lamp and stuff in the background out of the photo as they don't fit in well but the way the character is posing and how you can see the props we used in the film works well, it also hints at the storyline.
The lighting in this photo isn't very good and I don't think he is posing as well as I would have liked.
This last photo was close to being the one I used in the trailer as I think it is quite good and copies the pose that many thriller films have on their posters. The lighting is good and it is in focus.

Poster: Locations List

Locations List

The film is going to be set in a house which is going to be where all the filming is going to take place. The house is located in Bodmin. This is a suitable location for the filming to take place as the storyline and plot all takes place in a domestic, house setting.

The house looks almost too big for the person living in it as he is still very young but, the plot and voice over in the trailer explains that his family have died and now he lives seemingly alone..

Poster: Cast List

Lewis Vosper - Man
Lewis is 18 years old, has long hair (normally tied in a bun, is slim, and around 6ft in height, his face is very structured with angular cheekbones and jawline. Lewis is going to be the main character and star vehicle of this trailer and film. He is attractive which means that the cover will be nice to look at and attractive to all audiences.

Poster: Three Flat Plans

These are three flat plan ideas that I created an an idea for my poster. I got these plans from looking at conventional layouts and current products to create looks that are successful. For my actual product I chose the second design where Lewis is sat on the sofa in the setting of the film with the ghostly apparition behind him and the whisky in his lap.
