Draft Feature Article

YouTube’s music section is a very popular part of the site and many amateur and professional music artists can release and produce music to audiences they would never have had before the Internet or website. Artists such as ‘Justin Bieber’, ‘The Vamps’ and the newest, ‘Be There Soon’ all started their successful music careers online and now have a huge fan base consisting of audiences across the globe.
Be There Soon’s story begun in a small fishing town called Falmouth in the South West of England, the lead singer Camilla Sloan got together with her musical friends Lewis Vosper (guitar) and Joe Grounder (drums) one night and they played a few songs and decided to start a band together, calling it Be There Soon. After watching YouTubers herself for a while, Camilla introduced her Band to the platform and started their own channel where they could upload videos
and cover songs.
The channel’s subscriber count increased slowly for the first few months but one night a very well known band called We The Kings posted Be There Soon’s cover on their twitter and the subscriber count went through the roof. Be There Soon started to gain a huge audience and fanbase and many of the subscribers wanted to download and buy the songs. This then led to record labels being interested in the band as the audience grew and the band kept posting videos of the cover songs. Be There Soon currently have a subscriber count of around 900,000 people making them more popular than the Band ‘The Vamps’ which is currently touring the US on a successfully selling tour.
Unfortunately ex-drummer Joe Grounder had to leave the band leaving them without a drummer just as they were writing for their album. In a desperate plea for a new drummer Lewis and Camilla started to search on YouTube for talented drummers and after a few days they came across Ollie Brown, a small but very talented Youtuber who was also from the South West of England. They started to talk to him on Twitter and Ollie couldn’t believe his luck, they met up in a village hall nearby and brought their musical equipment and found themselves playing a few different songs and there was instant chemistry.
The Band announced their new addition on Twitter and fans were excited to hear the news as it meant that they could then continue writing and recording for their Debut Album named “Wave Again”.
I had the pleasure of talking to the band and asking them some of your questions.

“Did you ever think that you would become as famous as you are?” - @yatishai2345

“No of course not, I mean we dreamt that we would become well known, but never really imagined that it would have actually happened!” – Lewis

“What are your main goals for the future?” - @_we23_

“We just want to write our own songs now really, no more rubbish cover songs!” – Camilla

“Why did you chose ‘Wave Again’ as your album’s title?” - @sundaygor09

“I chose the name actually! I thought it was quite unique and it reminds me of waves and the ocean, without actually being about waves or the ocean. It also means to be as friendly as possible, so instead of waving once, wave again, be as friendly as possible!” – Ollie

“Will you ever try out a different genre to indie rock and alternative?” - @wemup66

“We are currently trying out different folk    and more acoustic sounds, but for the first    album we are going to play it safe and stick to the genre people love!” - Camilla

On my page I had to cut down the article because the font size would have had to have been too small to read properly if I had kept the article at the same length.
